Lawrence Leonard Rambert, lovingly known as “Larry,” was born on August 6, 1941 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the son of the late James Rambert and Clara Eleazer. He was educated in the Elizabeth Public School system. On June 30, 1960, Larry was enlisted in the Marine Corps where he served his country for four years during peacetime and received an honorable discharge.
In 1964, Larry was joined in holy matrimony to Madelyn Stokes and with this union two children were born.
He was employed as a Forklift Operator at Anheuser Busch in Newark for 23 years, retiring at the age of 62 years old.
On Friday, October 5, 2018, Lawrence Leonard Rambert was called to eternal rest suddenly.
Larry leaves to cherish precious memories, his wife of 54 years, Madelyn Rambert of Rahway, New Jersey; two sons: Kenneth Rambert of Edison, New Jersey, Lawrence Rambert of Connecticut; one daughter, Satonya Rambert of Bensalem, Pennsylvania; stepfather, Matthew Little of East Orange, New Jersey; stepdaughter, Anita Stokes of Richlands, North Carolina; three siblings: Marc Little (Zaundria) of Jacksonville, Florida, Duane Little of Washington, District of Columbia and Benilde Little-Virgin (Clifford) of Montclair, New Jersey; three grandchildren: Ebony Haynes, Jasmine Oliver and Faith Rambert; aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
