Obituary for Selena Marie Charles

Selena Marie Charles "Lena" was born on October 22, 1981 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, daughter of the late Velma and Ronald Charles Sr. Selena attended from Thomas Edison High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey. “Lena,” as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, worked as a Dietician at Clark Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Clark. She worked at various jobs throughout her lifetime.

Lena was a loving mother, sister, and daughter. She loved talking about her children: Nazir and Sincere. She enjoyed “cracking” jokes with her siblings and going down memory lane about their childhood pastimes.

On Saturday, August 5, 2017, Selena Marie Charles departed this life suddenly at Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth at the age of thirty-five.

Lena leaves to cherish her memory, her two sons: Nazir Minter and Sincere Charles; two sisters: Diana Charles of Elizabeth, New Jersey and Tawanda Charles of Roselle, New Jersey; four brothers: Ronald Charles, Jr. (LaShan) of Baltimore, Maryland, Timothy Dail (Tonya) of North Carolina, Jerome Dail of North Carolina, and Daniel Dail of North Carolina; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
