Obituary for Cora Lee Williams

Cora Lee Williams was born on July 27, 1947 in Ahoskie, North Carolina to the late George and Beulah Britt. She attended Robert L. Van High School where she met Raymond Eugene Williams.

In 1969, Cora married Raymond and they was blessed with four children. They lived in New Jersey for 48 years where they relocated to Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1969.

Cora worked as a Bus Driver Aide at Vogel Bus Company in Roselle for several years. Previously, she was employed as a Housekeeper at Town & Campus Motel in Union for many years. She was employed by Burry Biscuits Company in Elizabeth.

Proudly serving the Lord, she was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church where she was an Usher and served on the Usher Board.

Cora loved to cook and was known for her famous Banana pudding. She was a great dancer and said whatever was on her mind – never bit her tongue!

On Friday, August 25, 2017, Cora Lee Williams passed away at Overlook Hospital in Summit.
She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Wynn and sister, Agnes Bernice Britt.
Cora Lee Williams leaves to mourn, her four children: Jennifer Williams-Blanks (Herman), Carl Williams (Lisa), Todd Williams (Kathy) and Yvette Williams (Dwayne); three sisters: Jacqueline Britt, Sandra Jordan (Carl) and Lillie Mae Wilson (Mike); 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; fiancée, Michael McNeil; nieces, nephews, and a host of dear relatives and friends.
